Self-described as Pop: Pop-Rock with lots of words, Seven Mary Three comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. American Standard carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is the first studio album from Seven Mary Three since bad diagnosis in 1995. Such great and happy songs.
Cumbersome is Seven Mary Three’s best work in years. I like the agression and power of Roderigo. After about the third Devil Boy listen through, I began to believe this song is Seven Mary Three’s essence. My My still maintains something of a specific flourish. Lame - A strong beat. Headstrong one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Anything is one of the coolest songs Seven Mary Three has ever recorded. The sound of Margaret is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Favorite Dog is marvelous work of Seven Mary Three.
