Beacon Street Collection isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Beacon Street Collection carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. nine years ago, No Doubt briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “By the Way”. Beacon Street Collection is the best album I have heard in a long time
By the Way is worth the money. Simple and heartfelt closing track Doghouse closes Beacon Street Collection on a high note. After you’ve listened to Greener Pastures, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Don’t judge Open the Gate on the first listening. Opening track Snakes shows the best of No Doubt. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Beacon Street Collection. Stricken as a highlight of Beacon Street Collection contains a ton of cool melodies. This song is dynamic and dramatic. This is probably my favorite song on the album.
