Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Massive Attack vs Madonna I Want You (Radio Promo) CD5 imageIt’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Massive Attack vs Madonna energies, virtually a rebirth. I Want You (Radio Promo) CD5 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On I Want You (Radio Promo) CD5 album, Massive Attack vs Madonna have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Smart music for smart people.

I Want You [Full Range Mix] - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.

Moloko Do You Like My Tight Sweater mp3

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Moloko Do You Like My Tight Sweater imageThis album has some very good songs like Fun For Me and Tight Sweater. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Moloko’s album Do You Like My Tight Sweater falls to No. 2 with 241,000, a sales slide of 89%. I think this is best Trip-Hop album. Fun For Me and Tight Sweater is really good.

Tight Sweater is a perfect song and it grows on you. Day For Nght is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. I Can’t Help Myself - A classic Moloko track. Circus is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Only one song from Do You Like My Tight Sweater named Lotus Eaters really got me. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Do You Like My Tight Sweater. I believe Dominoid is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Party Weirdo - My least favorite song on this album. Tubeliar very upbeat. Ho Humm - Moloko first major hit. One listen to the sheer beauty of Butterfly 747 was all I needed. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Killa Bunnies is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Boo has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Where Is The What If The What Is In Why had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Who Shot The Go Go Dancer is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better.

Massive Attack Karmacoma (Single) mp3

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Massive Attack Karmacoma (Single) imageIt has been eight years Massive Attack’ last studio CD, “Karmacoma (Single)” which won Meteor Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Karmacoma (Single) CD - one of the best in Trip-Hop. Self-described as Trip-Hop with lots of words, Massive Attack comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I Love Karmacoma (Single) from start to finish!

Karmacoma (Portishead Experience) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Karmacoma (Napoli Trip) is a very catchy tune. Karmacoma (U.N.K.L.E. Situation) - arguably the best track on Karmacoma (Single) album. I can’t stop playing Karmacoma (Bumper Ball Dub). Karmacoma (Ventom Dub Special) is possibly the best song Massive Attack has come up. This track is clearly meant to showcase Massive Attack’s vocal abilities.

Massive Attack Protection (Karmacoma) mp3

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Massive Attack Protection (Karmacoma) imageI guess you need to listen Protection (Karmacoma) as soon as possible. Massive Attack is work hard for Protection (Karmacoma). There were many famous songs of Massive Attack available. Exciting stuff.

Karmacoma one is one of the better boring ones. Put Three into car stereo for your highway driving I like the idea behind Weather Storm. Spying Glass is one of the best records ever. Better Things is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Eurochild. Sly - I just love it. I loved Heat Miser the first time I heard it. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Karmacoma (Album Version) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Karmacoma (The Napoli Trip) - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Karmacoma (Unkle Situation) is probably one of Massive Attack’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Massive Attack has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. I like the agression and power of Karmacoma (Mad Proffessor). In Daydreaming (Backsmith Remix) the music gets its power.

Funki Porcini Hed Phone Sex CD1 mp3

Friday, September 21st, 2007

Funki Porcini Hed Phone Sex CD1 imageThis album has some very good songs like A Word Of Vice and B Monkey. Hed Phone Sex CD1 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. While no new Funki Porcini album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in South America. It is very deep stuff.

B Monkey is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Dubble is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Funki Porcini ever produced. When listening to King Ashabanapal Part 1, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Funki Porcini allows each song to breathe and flourish. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Hed Phone Sex CD1. It’s such an underrated song. Put White Slave into car stereo for your highway driving Poseathon defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Album opener Wicked, Cruel Nasty And Bad is a bright, upbeat ditty. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Funki Porcini sings his heart out in The Softest Thing In The World. Something Wonderful is a excellent sing-along. Tiny Kangaroo Dolphin (From He is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Long Road has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Funki Porcini’s strong vocals come to the fore.

Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush Bad Brothers mp3

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush Bad Brothers imageNow signed to Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush’s Birdman Records, the title track from second album “Bad Brothers” leads Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush’s back-to-school campaign. two years ago, Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “S…T Goes Down”. Bad Brothers one of my best. It is very exciting!

After you’ve listened to S…T Goes Down, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Love I Never Had It So Good (5:11) a good melody. What sets So What apart is Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Listening to Season For Change you can hear that Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush has still amazing chemistry with band members. In Bad Brothers Ronny Jordan Meets DJ Krush spins a tale you want to hear to the end.

Funki Porcini Ashabanapal Big Pink Inflatable mp3

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Funki Porcini Ashabanapal Big Pink Inflatable imageAfter debuting at No. 1 last week, Funki Porcini’s album Ashabanapal Big Pink Inflatable falls to No. 2 with 287,000, a sales slide of 57%. I am not a real Trip-Hop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Ashabanapal Big Pink Inflatable’ really is amazing. Funki Porcini had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Smart music for smart people.

Overall a nice softer song. This is probably my favorite song on the album. King Ashabanapal (Dillinja Mix) is the albums biggest surprise. Hyde Park - This one is lively and fun. King Ashabanapal (Part 2) is a astounding sing-along. King Ashabanapal (Plaid Mix) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Farewell Alice (3:53) - Oh, this is one of my favorites!

Massive Attack Vs Mad Professor No Protection mp3

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Massive Attack Vs Mad Professor No Protection imageNo Protection isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. When you buy a Massive Attack Vs Mad Professor album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Massive Attack Vs Mad Professor on ‘Backward Sucking (Heat Miser)’. No Protection constantly brilliant.

One listen to the sheer beauty of I Spy (Spying Glass) was all I needed. Still going through No Protection and coming to appreciate Moving Dub (Better Things) more and more with every listen. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Cool Monsoon (Weather Storm) is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Trinity Dub (Three) is a great opener for No Protection. Bumper Ball Dub (Karmacoma) is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Some call Radiation Ruling The Nation (Protection) from No Protection as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.

Funki Porcini Hed Phone Sex CD2 mp3

Funki Porcini Hed Phone Sex CD2 imageHed Phone Sex CD2 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Funki Porcini on ‘King Ashabanapal (Digidub Mix)’. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Funki Porcini’s album Hed Phone Sex CD2 falls to No. 2 with 147,000, a sales slide of 66%. I love Hed Phone Sex CD2 so much, i’ve been crazy about Funki Porcini ever.

26 West 17th Street is a perfect song and it grows on you. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Ley Me Look At You - a classic song. Blew our minds when we first heard Hyde Park. Tales Of One Speed was the first single release from the album Hed Phone Sex CD2. Overall a nice softer song. Farewall Alice - another great track from the Hed Phone Sex CD2 album.

Massive Attack No Protection mp3

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

Massive Attack No Protection imageLead single “Radiation Ruling The Nation (Protection)” and “Bumper Ball Dub (Karmacoma)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I think this is best Trip-Hop album. It has been fifteen years Massive Attack’ last studio CD, “No Protection” which won Billboard Music Award and was nominated for album of the year. No Protection - another great offering from Massive Attack.

Bumper Ball Dub (Karmacoma) (5:57) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Trinity Dub (Three) is the albums biggest surprise. Massive Attack is one of artists that allow his songs like Cool Monsoon (Weather Storm) to stand on their own and be heard. Musically Eternal Feedback (Sly) is superior to other tracks in No Protection. Once you hear Moving Dub (Better Things), you will listen to it over and over. I Spy (Spying Glass) is the more seemingly obscure song on No Protection that bear up best to repeated listening. Backward Sucking (Heat Miser) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart.

Massive Attack Protection (Single) mp3

Massive Attack Protection (Single) imageThere is no doubt that Massive Attack has talent and Protection (Single) is great.Great album Protection (Single) - just must listen it! Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Massive Attack on ‘Protection’. Protection (Single) album is a scorcher!

Protection (7″ Edit) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Protection (Underdog’s Angel Dust Mix) is marvelous song though, very addictive. Protection (Radiation For The Nation) on Protection (Single) is solid and easy to listen to. Protection (The Eno Mix) is the more seemingly obscure song on Protection (Single) that bear up best to repeated listening. The first time I listened to Protection (J Swift Mix) I was struck by its marvelous sound.
