Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Trypes Yperoxo Tipota imageLead single “Eida enan antra na peftei” and “Eimai tyxeros” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of greatest albums of Trypes. This is one of the best Cd’s Trypes has dropped to date. I Love Yperoxo Tipota from start to finish!

From the moment you listen to Eimai tyxeros you’re hooked. I think Thelw ena kormi athikto is the best song Trypes has ever done. Htan kapoios pou den hksere kamia istoria is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Once you hear Xwris emena, you will listen to it over and over. The song feels complete. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Trypes. Trypes has astounded me with this amazing track. I believe Shmainontas thanato is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Eisagwgh very upbeat. I find myself hearing bits of Finale here and there throughout my waking hours.

Gino Vanelli Yonder Tree mp3

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Gino Vanelli Yonder Tree imageGreat album Yonder Tree - just must listen it! An Loched has compared writing for Gino Vanelli’s new album to that on ‘Yonder Tree’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since Gino Vanelli last CD (Yonder Tree) on Blue Jordan Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Great Rock right here!

Fallen In Love to me is the best you can get from Gino Vanelli. If you are a Gino Vanelli fan, you will love You Owe It To Yourself. In A Little Bit Of Judas the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Unbearably Blue is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Jehovah and All That Jazz - My least favorite song on this album. I find myself hearing bits of None So Beautiful here and there throughout my waking hours. I like to sing along with I Die A Little More Each Day, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Come To The Well is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. What sets Moon Over Madness apart is Gino Vanelli’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres.

Adrian Belew The Guitar As Orchestra mp3

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Adrian Belew The Guitar As Orchestra imageAfter debuting at No. 1 last week, Adrian Belew’s album The Guitar As Orchestra falls to No. 2 with 131,000, a sales slide of 91%. This disc has all of the essential Adrian Belew classics. I am not a real Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Guitar As Orchestra’ really is amazing. It is very exciting!

Adrian Belew must have run out of lyrics on the next track Portrait Of The Guitarist As A Young Drum. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Laurence Harvey’s Despair defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. A unique and uplifting song. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Seven A Flat Elephants Eating The Acacia Of A C# Minor Forest - This one is lively and fun. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Alfred Hitchcock’s ’strangers On A Train’ Starring Robert Walker is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Guitar As Orchestra. Finale - My least favorite song on this album. Stage Fright (Bonus Track) is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade.

Brad Gillis Gilrock Ranch mp3

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Brad Gillis Gilrock Ranch imageIvan Grach has compared writing for Brad Gillis’s new album to that on ‘Gilrock Ranch’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Brad Gillis had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Brad Gillis is work hard for Gilrock Ranch. Smart music for smart people.

Honest to God has a fun tempo. Opus Winfrus catches attention immediately, Monster Breath is a amazing, simple song by Brad Gillis at the top of his game. Slow Blow is perfect. Mr. Lollipop - This one makes me want to not only sing along. If Looks Could Kill (4:17) a good melody. Lions, Tigers and Bears - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Shades of Pomposity is just simply stunning. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Gilrock Ranch.

Hotwire Hotwire mp3

Hotwire Hotwire imageThis compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Hotwire. Hotwire one of my best. Lead single “Crying In The Night” and “Is It Love” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. If you want to hear real Rock, get this record now!

Voice of Hotwire in Is It Love is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Someday (4:27) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Heart Of The Young - I just love it. Lovin’ Kind (4:44) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Alone as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Talk To Me one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Sometimes She Cries gives taste of what makes Hotwire special as a musician. This song stands out greatly from the others. Listen To Me is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive.

Rock - Various Artists Madonna - Best Balad mp3

Friday, January 25th, 2008

Rock - Various Artists Madonna - Best Balad imageLead single “A Whiter shade Of Pale (Anne Lennox)” and “Diamond Ring. (Bon Jovi)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Rock - Various Artists’s debut, ‘Madonna - Best Balad’, does not fit easily into one genre. Madonna - Best Balad really suprise for me from Rock - Various Artists. Check it every song is worth the money for the Madonna - Best Balad CD!

Diamond Ring. (Bon Jovi) is worth the money. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Madonna - Best Balad. Think Twice (Celine Dion) is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Opening track Dream A Little Dream Of Me (Chicago Feat.Jade) shows the best of Rock - Various Artists. Music of 74-75 (Connels) is gentle, never overbearing. I now have Perfect Day (Duran Duran) as one of my personal favorites. J Sole Mio (Luchiano Pavarotti and Brayan Adams) very upbeat. Madonna - Best Balad couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Take A Bow (Madonna). This is probably my favorite song on the album. You’ve Realy Got A Hold On Me (Mike and The Mechanics) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. You’re The Star (Rod Stewart) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Back For Good (Take That) is one of my favorite songs by Rock - Various Artists. Rock - Various Artists is hitting on all cylinders in Holdin’ On To You (TerenceTrent D’Arby). Julia Says (WET WET WET) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty.

Troll Trollstorm Over Nidingjuv imageOn the India charts, superstar Troll’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. While no new Troll album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in North America. I think this is best Rock album. Trollstorm Over Nidingjuv album is a scorcher!

It’s a great pleasure to listen to Trollstorm Over Nidingjuv from the beginning to the end. Over Daudens Kolde Mark is a fine track on any terms. I Er Hedensk Land is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Roxy Music More Than This: The Best Of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music imageSince completing 1995’s ‘Virginia Plain’, Roxy Music fulfilled their contract with Asthmatic Kitty and where under no obligation to release another album. More Than This: The Best Of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music is an amazing album, racked with beauty.More Than This: The Best Of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. More Than This: The Best Of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music is one of Roxy Music best albums

This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. One listen to the sheer beauty of Street Life was all I needed. These Foolish Things is a very catchy tune. Love Is The Drug make listening to Roxy Music like being in some sort of time warp. I like the idea behind Smoke Gets In Your Eyes. Dance Away rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. A unique and uplifting song. Slave To Love is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Oh Yeah! is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Roxy Music ever produced. Don’t Stop The Dance is a good listen every once in a while. Same Old Scene is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Is Your Love Strong Enough? motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Jealous Guy is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Kiss And Tell is a bit of a show-tune. I’ve found myself listening to More Than This back to back and back many times. I Put A Spell On You is one of these floating songs. Avalon defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This song may be the most meaningful.

Dwellers is a strong cut, one of many. Gamera rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Cliff is probably one of Tortoise’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.

Ancient Rites The Diabolical Serenades mp3

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

Ancient Rites The Diabolical Serenades imageAfter seeing (Intro) Infant Sacrifices To Baalberith, I had to have a good Ancient Rites CD. Ancient Rites had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Ancient Rites is work hard for The Diabolical Serenades. Great Rock right here!

Crucifixion Justfied (Roman Supremach) - To me, this is the best song on the The Diabolical Serenades. Overall a nice softer song. Although Obscurity Reigns (Fields Of Flanders) is very melodic it is far from sad. Death Messiah is probably the most interesting track on The Diabolical Serenades. Land Of Frost and Despair is the most memorable and gorgeous. Ussyrian Empire is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Longing For The Ancient Kingdom has a fun tempo. Strong, powerful vocals of Ancient Rites in Morbid Glory (Gilles De Rais 1404-1440) are very impressive. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. The song Evil Prevails ending is my favorite… so catchy! I hope to keep hearing Ancient Rites works for a long time to come. From Beyond The Grave Part 2 (Bonus) - This one makes me want to not only sing along.

The Silencers So Be It imageIt’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Silencers energies, virtually a rebirth. The Silencers is work hard for So Be It. So Be It one of my best. So Be It constantly brilliant.

Killing for God - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. 27 is a fine track on any terms. When listening to I woke up, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. In Number one friend the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. A unique and uplifting song. This song stands out greatly from the others. I like the agression and power of Henry s black shadow. Wild mountain thyme is a bit of a show-tune. Listen is a exquisite song and it grows on you. I hope to keep hearing The Silencers works for a long time to come. I believe in you is simply exquisite.

The Doobie Brothers The Doobie Brothers mp3

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

The Doobie Brothers The Doobie Brothers imageSelf-described as Rock with lots of words, The Doobie Brothers comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. The Doobie Brothers CD - one of the best in Rock. eleven years ago, The Doobie Brothers briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Slippery St. Paul”. The Doobie Brothers is the best album I have heard in a long time

I think Slippery St. Paul is the best song The Doobie Brothers has ever done. Greenwood Creek is probably the most interesting track on The Doobie Brothers. All of songs on The Doobie Brothers and have something to say letting alone It Won’t Be Right. Travelin’ Man pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Feelin’ Down Farther sets the tone for the entire album. The Master is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. The Doobie Brothers has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. I’ve found myself listening to The Beehive State back to back and back many times. Closer Every Day is simple, dignified and effective, The Doobie Brothers refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.

John Norum Another Destination imageI think this is best Rock album. When you buy a John Norum album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Another Destination carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Another Destination is awesome.

After you’ve listened to Resurrection Time, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Strange Days is almost impossible to review. Spirit Days as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. As always, John Norum’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Whose Side Are You On- - This is a very lively song. Sunshine Of Your Love (5:29) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Cataline Sunset. I’ve found myself listening to Half Way Home back to back and back many times. I hope to keep hearing John Norum works for a long time to come. Keep Talking is probably one of Pink Floyd’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Pavement Wowee Zowee imageThere were many famous songs of Pavement available. Since completing 1995’s ‘We Dance’, Pavement fulfilled their contract with Alternative Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the first studio album from Pavement since bad diagnosis in 1995. Unappreciated gift to Rock

I love the melodic melody of Rattled By The Rush and to this day it makes me feel good. Black Out - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Brinx Job is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Grounded is almost impossible to review. Pavement offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Motion Suggests - This is a very lively song. Father To A Sister Of Thought - I like this one. Extradition is worth the money. After you’ve listened to Best Friends Arm, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Grave Architecture is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. At & T on Wowee Zowee is solid and easy to listen to. Flux = Rad is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Fight This Generation is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Kennel District is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Still going through Wowee Zowee and coming to appreciate Pueblo more and more with every listen. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Western Homes one of the best in my collection.

Not surprising from Glenn Hughes and Burning Japan Live together. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Glenn Hughes comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Great Rock right here!

Liar is really the reason why I recommend buying Burning Japan Live. Glenn Hughes is one of artists that allow his songs like Muscle And Blood to stand on their own and be heard. Lay My Body Down is the funkiest number on the album. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with From Now On. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Into The Void. A unique and uplifting song. Coast To Coast is one of the more up-tempo songs on Burning Japan Live. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. After few listenings I started to like Owed To G more and more. Vocals of Glenn Hughes in Gettin Tighter really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. You Keep On Moving - This one makes me want to not only sing along. As always, Glenn Hughes’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. I Got Your Number as a highlight of Burning Japan Live contains a ton of perfect melodies. I have all of Glenn Hughes’s tracks and Stormbringer is probably the most his introspective effort.

King Crimson THRAK imageOn THRAK album, King Crimson have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It’s natural for King Crimson to take a stab at ‘Vrooom’ considering her long-professed love for New Kids on the Block. Great Rock right here!

While no new The Fall album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Africa. After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Fall’s album 458489 B-Sides CD2 falls to No. 2 with 460,000, a sales slide of 72%. Unappreciated gift to Rock

Music and lyrics of Hit the North [Live] creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. I like the idea behind Acid Priest 2008. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Cab It Up! because the melody in the chorus is so good. Bremen Nacht Run Out still maintains something of a specific flourish. Mark’ll Sink Us has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Tuff Life Boogie catches attention immediately, Twister is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. In Hit the North, Pt. 2 it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Fall has yet to define own style. Guest Informant gets you up and jumping. It’s such an underrated song. Album opener Northerns in Europe is a bright, upbeat ditty. Mark’ll Sink Us is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Haf Found Bormann (2:45) a good melody. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of The Fall. Entitled - I just love it. The sound in Shoulder Pads [#1B] is really warm and The Fall’s signature voice is still very much present.

Kein Entkommen (Rehearsal Version) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about.

Tarot Stigmata mp3

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Tarot Stigmata imageStigmata one of my best. Tarot’s debut, ‘Stigmata’, does not fit easily into one genre. I guess you need to listen Stigmata as soon as possible. Smart music for smart people.

Tarot is one of artists that allow his songs like Angels of Pain to stand on their own and be heard. I believe As One is one of the most astounding, heartfelt songs ever written. State of Grace is probably one of Tarot’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Race the Light is one of my favorite songs by Tarot. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Tarot sings his heart out in E.T.I.. Sleepless is simply gorgeous. Teeth defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Stigmata (I Feel for You) is pretty funky and mellow. The sound in Turn Me On [#][*] is really warm and Tarot’s signature voice is still very much present. After few listenings I started to like Stigmata (I Feel for You) [#][*][Version] more and more. Live Hard Die Hard [#][*][Demo Version] (5:45) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs.

Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers Live at Max's Kansas City '79 imageSince completing 1995’s ‘Intro’, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers fulfilled their contract with Bunny Huang Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been six years Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers’ last studio CD, “Live at Max’s Kansas City ‘79″ which won Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers and Live at Max’s Kansas City ‘79 together. Live at Max’s Kansas City ‘79 is the best album I have heard in a long time

Milk Me is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Chinese Rocks presents the cool mix of instruments on Live at Max’s Kansas City ‘79. Get off the Phone had me crying as I was able to relate so well. London is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Take a Chance is so unique, as each one of the songs is. One Track Mind has a fun tempo. I was truly moved when I heard Let Go. I Love You as a highlight of Live at Max’s Kansas City ‘79 contains a ton of perfect melodies. Can’t Keep My Eyes on You is perfect. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Do You Love Me is a striking and quite long song. All by Myself is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. I hope to keep hearing Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers works for a long time to come. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Don’t Mess With Cupid is a very catchy tune. So Alone is a astounding song and it grows on you.

Faust Rien mp3

Faust Rien imageThere were many famous songs of Faust available. Since completing 1995’s ‘null’, Faust fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Since Faust last CD (Rien) on Mute Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. I Love Rien from start to finish!

Rien is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Rien have ended. Long Distance Calls In The Desert is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. After few listenings I started to like Eroberung Der Stille, Teil I more and more. Listen To The Fish is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Such hits like Eroberung Der Stille, Teil Ii will leave you hooked. Fin - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.

Ian Hunter Dirty Laundry mp3

Ian Hunter Dirty Laundry imageDirty Laundry isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Ian Hunter was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Ian Hunter and Dirty Laundry together. Now signed to Ian Hunter’s Dancing Turtle Records, the title track from second album “Dirty Laundry” leads Ian Hunter’s back-to-school campaign. IT makes me wanna dance!

Another Fine Mess is a medium tempo tune. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Dirty Laundry is Never Trust A Blonde. I like to sing along with Psycho Girl, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. My Revolution is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Some call Good Girls from Dirty Laundry as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. There is astounding mix of music in Red Letter Day. Invisible Strings can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Ian Hunter is all about. Everyone’s A Fool is a great opener for Dirty Laundry. When I listen to Junkee Love in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. The sound in The Other Man is really warm and Ian Hunter’s signature voice is still very much present.

Citizen Fish Millennia Madness mp3

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Citizen Fish Millennia Madness imageMila Sparrow has compared writing for Citizen Fish’s new album to that on ‘Millennia Madness’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. ten years ago, Citizen Fish briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Next Big Thing”. ‘Millennia Madness’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Such great and happy songs.

Next Big Thing is probably one of Citizen Fish’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Can’t Be Bothered - I just love it. 2000 and One gets you up and jumping. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Nice and different song. Faster is the albums biggest surprise. Charming song, great melody. Refugees Go West presents the cool mix of instruments on Millennia Madness. Backlash is one of the coolest songs Citizen Fish has ever recorded. One listen to the sheer beauty of Friends was all I needed. Skin is another strong production from Citizen Fish.

Hugues Aufray Aufray Trans Dylan - Disque 1 mp3

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Hugues Aufray Aufray Trans Dylan - Disque 1 imageThis -song debut EP shows the promise that Hugues Aufray has. Great album Aufray Trans Dylan - Disque 1 - just must listen it! This album has some very good songs like L’homme orchestre and La mort solitaire de Hattie Caroll. Unappreciated gift to Rock

La mort solitaire de Hattie Caroll catches attention immediately, In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Hugues Aufray. Dieu est a nos cotes is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Aufray Trans Dylan - Disque 1. I have all of Hugues Aufray’s tracks and Le jour ou le bateau viendra is probably the most his introspective effort. Cauchemar psychomoteur is a bit of a show-tune. La fille du nord has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Oxford Town is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. A unique and uplifting song. Ballade de Hollis Brown is astounding. I believe Corrina Corrina is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Opening track Ce n etait pas moi shows the best of Hugues Aufray. Ce que je veux surtout - I just love it.
