This disc has all of the essential Shadow Gallery classics. Since completing 1995’s ‘Cliffhanger’, Shadow Gallery fulfilled their contract with Candle Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Shadow Gallery had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Carved In Stone is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Interlude A is a bit different from Shadow Gallery stereotypical stuff. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Crystalline Dream. Interlude B - To me, this is the best song on the Carved In Stone. Don’t Ever Cry, Just Remember - a classic song. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. When I listen to Warcry in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Celtic Princess is outstanding work of Shadow Gallery. In Deeper Than Life Shadow Gallery is at his best. I loved Interlude D the first time I heard it. The song Alaska ending is my favorite… so catchy! Interlude E gives good insight into the truths. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Ghostship-Voyage is Shadow Gallery’s best work in years. Ghostship-Dead Calm - I like this one. Strong, powerful vocals of Shadow Gallery in Ghostship-Approaching Storm are very impressive. Shadow Gallery is one of artists that allow his songs like Ghostship-Storm to stand on their own and be heard. Ghostship-Enchantment is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Ghostship-Legend is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. From the moment you listen to Ghosttrack you’re hooked.
