Putumayo Women Of The World Celtic mp3

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Putumayo Women Of The World Celtic imageOn the Slovakia charts, superstar Putumayo’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is the first studio album from Putumayo since bad diagnosis in 1995. Great album Women Of The World Celtic - just must listen it! To me Putumayo is the best ever.

It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Maighread Ni Dhomhnaill Armhran Pheadar Breathnach, which shows, blatantly, how much Putumayo has evolved as a singer. Karen Matheson (of Capercaillie) Dark Alan (from Rob Roy) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Putumayo. If you are a Putumayo fan, you will love Maire Breatnach Breatnaigh Abu. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. A great put together song. Fiona Joyce Cry Over You is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Nancy McCallion (of The Mollys ) One We Go is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Putumayo ever produced. Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh (of Altan ) Dulaman is a very catchy tune.

Madredeus O Espirito Da Pas mp3

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Madredeus O Espirito Da Pas imageWhen you buy a Madredeus album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lead single “Concertino” and “Minuete” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Madredeus. Oh yes, this album gets out of

There is marvelous mix of music in Minuete. It’s such an underrated song. I find myself hearing bits of Destino here and there throughout my waking hours. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Os Senhores Da Guerra was the first single release from the album O Espirito Da Pas. Musically Pregao is superior to other tracks in O Espirito Da Pas. O Mar is simple, dignified and effective, Madredeus refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Os Moinhos gives taste of what makes Madredeus special as a musician. This track is full of harmonies and gets O Espirito Da Pas off to a relaxing start. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Culpa have really caught my ear and imagination. As always, Madredeus’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Madredeus allows each song to breathe and flourish. The song Ao Longe O Mar ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is clearly meant to showcase Madredeus’s vocal abilities.

George Dalaras Afierwma Sto M. Theodwrakh imageWhen you buy a George Dalaras album, you know exactly what you’re getting! George Dalaras’s debut, ‘Afierwma Sto M. Theodwrakh’, does not fit easily into one genre. I think this is best Folk album. Smart music for smart people.

Omorfh Polh is a great opener for Afierwma Sto M. Theodwrakh. Simple and heartfelt closing track Matwmeno Feggari, Arodafnousa, Xrusoprasino Fullo closes Afierwma Sto M. Theodwrakh on a high note. Asteri Mou Feggari Mou marked the continuation of George Dalaras in style evolution. Vrexei Sth Ftwxogeitonia is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Monos Sto Diamerisma, Dromoi Palioi defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. O Mpelogiannhs is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Don’t judge Antwnhs, To Gelasto Paidi on the first listening. After you’ve listened to Los Libertadores, America Insurrecta, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. One listen to the sheer beauty of O Xoros Tou Zormpa was all I needed. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.

Ataraxia The Moon Sang On The April Chair - Red Deep Dirges Of A Moon mp3

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Ataraxia The Moon Sang On The April Chair - Red Deep Dirges Of A Moon imagenine years ago, Ataraxia briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Verdigris Wounds”. Lead single “The Moon Sang On The April Chair” and “Verdigris Wounds” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. The Moon Sang On The April Chair - Red Deep Dirges Of A Moon isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Ataraxia is one of my favourite bands of all time.

Verdigris Wounds pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. The Tale Of The Crying Fire-flies still maintains something of a specific flourish. Colouring Nocturnal Lemons is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. A great put together song. You have to get essence of the Satis Vixi’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Song Lady Lazarus is actually a funny song. Spiritus Ad Vindictam is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction.

Elakelaiset Humppaloyly EP mp3

Elakelaiset Humppaloyly EP imageI think this is best Folk album. Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Elakelaiset comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Elakelaiset had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Humppaloyly EP constantly brilliant.

Savua Laatokalla is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Elakelaiset. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Elakelaiset emotions are reflected through Europopi.

Putumayo The Dougie MacLean Collection mp3

Putumayo The Dougie MacLean Collection imageSelf-described as Folk with lots of words, Putumayo comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Putumayo is work hard for The Dougie MacLean Collection. This is the first studio album from Putumayo since bad diagnosis in 1995. The Dougie MacLean Collection constantly brilliant.

Singing Land is the most memorable and astounding. Solid Ground - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Listening to Broken Wings you can hear that Putumayo has still amazing chemistry with band members. Marching Mystery is a astounding, simple song by Putumayo at the top of his game. The Search is the album’s biggest hit, I think. In Turning Away Putumayo is at his best. Caledonia is really the reason why I recommend buying The Dougie MacLean Collection. Ready For The Storm is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. After about the third Trail Of The Survivor listen through, I began to believe this song is Putumayo’s essence. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.

Michel Sardou Olympia 95 mp3

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Michel Sardou Olympia 95 imageThere were many famous songs of Michel Sardou available. ten years ago, Michel Sardou briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Deja Vu”. When you buy a Michel Sardou album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Such great and happy songs.

This track is a great song that still never gets old. Parlons de Toi, de Moi is the funkiest number on the album. Deux ecoles stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. En Chantant - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. From the moment you listen to 1965 you’re hooked. The sound of Verdun is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Selon Que Vous Serez, Etc., Etc. is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Blew our minds when we first heard Je Vais T’Aimer. Monde Ou Tu Vas is one of the best records ever. Marie-Jeanne is a bit different from Michel Sardou stereotypical stuff. The opening track Privilege is very much like you would expect from other albums. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Best song on the album, love it. A great put together song. Je Me Souviens d’Un Adieu was the first single release from the album Olympia 95. There is gorgeous mix of music in Bac G.. After few listenings I started to like Rouge more and more. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Mefie-Toi on T’Aime from the beginning to the end. Elle en Aura Besoin Plus Tart - A catchy, upbeat tune. Autre Femme hits the heart. Lacs du Connemara can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Michel Sardou is all about. Musulmanes is the album’s biggest hit, I think. A unique and uplifting song.

Joan Baez Baptism mp3

Joan Baez Baptism imageone years ago, Joan Baez briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Old Welsh Song”. For older fans Baptism will put a massive smile accross your face. On Baptism album, Joan Baez have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Baptism.

Old Welsh Song - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Put Evil into car stereo for your highway driving The Parable Of The Old Man And The Young actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Joan Baez’s face. I loved All In Green Went My Love A Riding the first time I heard it. Gacela Of The Park Death is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Colours is a strong cut, one of many. Still going through Baptism and coming to appreciate The Magic Wood more and more with every listen. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Poems From The Japanese. Childhood III has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. All The Pretty Little Horses is almost impossible to review. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Oh,Little Child still maintains something of a specific flourish. No Man Is An Island is the albums biggest surprise. You have to get essence of the Who Murdered The Minutes’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. In London the music gets its power. In Guernica have really caught my ear and imagination. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Of The Dark Past is another favourite of mine. Minister Of War is astounding. Song In The Blood is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. I Saw The Vision Of Armies is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Simple and heartfelt closing track Old Welsh Song closes Baptism on a high note.

Richard Durrant Duellin' Banjos imageDuellin’ Banjos one of my best. Richard Durrant’s debut, ‘Duellin’ Banjos’, does not fit easily into one genre. Duellin’ Banjos is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Duellin’ Banjos constantly brilliant.

Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Dance of the Welsh Vicar very upbeat. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Jerusalem Ridge is exquisite work of Richard Durrant. In Frosty Morning the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Foggy Mountain Breakdown is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Richard Durrant allows each song to breathe and flourish. I love the melodic melody of Wild Wood Flower and to this day it makes me feel good. Mason’s Apron presents the excellent mix of instruments on Duellin’ Banjos. Salamanca defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Byrne’s Hornpipe is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. This track is a great song that still never gets old. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Loch Neagh actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Richard Durrant’s face. Czardas is simply astounding. Some call Down in the Swamp from Duellin’ Banjos as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Musically Speed the Plough is superior to other tracks in Duellin’ Banjos. Get Duellin’ Banjos and turn on Swing Low Sweet Chariot if you are going to sip your wine late at night.

Tito Nieves Un Tipo Comun mp3

Tito Nieves Un Tipo Comun imageUn Tipo Comun is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Un Tipo Comun one of my best. Un Tipo Comun carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Such great and happy songs.

I have all of Tito Nieves’s tracks and Un Tipo Comun is probably the most his introspective effort. Te Lo Pido Por Favor which is my favorite is a truly Tito Nieves sounding song. Un Tipo Comun couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Imperdonable. Voy A Hacerte Feliz is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. In Que Me Hiciste Tu you won’t find any flashy solos. When I listen to No Me Vuelvo A Enamorar in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. One listen to the sheer beauty of Mi Primer Amor was all I needed.

Greg Brown The Live One mp3

Greg Brown The Live One imageThis is one of greatest albums of Greg Brown. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Greg Brown’s album The Live One falls to No. 2 with 770,000, a sales slide of 80%. Greg Brown had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. The Live One album is in perfect progression from Greg Brown!

Overall a nice softer song. Boomtown is a great opener for The Live One. Once Spring Wind gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. The sound of Laughing River is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I listened to the opening track You Drive Me Crazy and liked it a lot. Canned Goods is one of the best records ever. I Don’t Want To Have A Nice Day - A classic Greg Brown track. Music and lyrics of Brand New ‘64 Dodge creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. I can’t stop humming along 1952 Vincent Black Lightning. One More Goodnight Kiss is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Moondance is a very catchy tune.

Joan Baez David’s Album mp3

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

Joan Baez David's Album imageThis is one of the best Cd’s Joan Baez has dropped to date. While no new Joan Baez album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Australia. For older fans David’s Album will put a massive smile accross your face. It is very exciting!

It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. From the moment you listen to Just A Closer Walk With Thee you’re hooked. The Tramp On The Street is the most memorable and excellent. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Poor Wayfaring Stranger is my favorite song on David’s Album. Will The Circle Be Unbroken is possibly the best song Joan Baez has come up. Green, Green Grass Of Home is a very catchy tune. The sound in Rock Salt And Nails is really warm and Joan Baez’s signature voice is still very much present. Voice of Joan Baez in Glad Bluebird Of Happiness is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. If I Knew without a doubt is the standout song of David’s Album.

Azymuth Carioca imageThis album has some very good songs like Love Beat and Valsas De Uma Cidade. It has been eleven years Azymuth’ last studio CD, “Carioca” which won MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. After seeing Love Beat, I had to have a good Azymuth CD. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I like to sing along with O Bloco Do Eu Sozinho, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Toque De Cuica is simple, dignified and effective, Azymuth refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Guaratiba is pretty funky and mellow. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.

Ring Them Bells touched my soul like nothing else.

This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Ring Them Bells. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Pajarillo Barranque Tish Hinojosa is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. You’re Aging Well - Dar Williams I just LOVE this mix! La Bas (Song Of The Drowned) (Lisa Gerrard) is nothing but pure genius. I hope to keep hearing Folk - Various Artists works for a long time to come. Sanvean (i am your shadow) (Lisa Gerrard) - I just love it. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is The Rite (Lisa Gerrard) because the melody in the chorus is so good. The sound in Ajhon (Lisa Gerrard) is really warm and Folk - Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. Glorafin (Lisa Gerrard) - Check out that bassline! It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Largo (Lisa Gerrard) is absolutely incredible. Werd (Lisa Gerrard) is probably one of Folk - Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Laurelei (Lisa Gerrard) is the song that really did it for me. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Swans (Lisa Gerrard), which shows, blatantly, how much Folk - Various Artists has evolved as a singer. Nilleshna (lisa garrard) one is one of the better boring ones. Gloradin (Lisa Gerrard) is a song to enjoy for years to come.

Clannad Lore mp3

Clannad Lore imageI am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Lore’ really is amazing. On Lore album, Clannad have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This disc has all of the essential Clannad classics. Last Hot Album by Clannad

This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Lore. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. From Your Heart gets you up and jumping. When I listen to Alasdair Maccolla in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Broken Pieces is my favorite song on Lore. Trathnona Beag Areir is absolutely incredible. Trail Of Tears - This one is lively and fun. Dealramh Go Deo can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Clannad is all about. A unique and uplifting song. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.

Mango Dove Vai: Live mp3

Mango Dove Vai: Live image‘Dove Vai: Live’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. It’s natural for Mango to take a stab at ‘Sospiro’ considering her long-professed love for 3rd Wish. When you buy a Mango album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Dove Vai: Live is one of Mango best albums

Lei Verra is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Mango ever produced. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Come Monna Lisa, which shows, blatantly, how much Mango has evolved as a singer. La Rosa Dell’inverno is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Australia is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Oro is a gorgeous song and it grows on you. Giulietta is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Nero E Blu is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Profumo d’Amore good vocals. Bella d’Estate pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Sirtaki presents the cool mix of instruments on Dove Vai: Live. The song Dove Vai… ending is my favorite… so catchy! Nella Mia Citta is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot.

Andean Fusion Dreams mp3

Andean Fusion Dreams imageGreat album Dreams - just must listen it! Dreams CD - one of the best in Folk. There is no doubt that Andean Fusion has talent and Dreams is great.Enjoy the show.

Sweet Darling rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Titicaca Lake make listening to Andean Fusion like being in some sort of time warp. In Dreams the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Flower Of One Day is one of the coolest songs Andean Fusion has ever recorded. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I find myself hearing bits of Hut here and there throughout my waking hours. Some of the arrangements found on Dreams are surprisingly edgy. Andean Fusion must have run out of lyrics on the next track Silver Paper. Sad Is My Heart (3:41) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Andean Fusion has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Chokolulu is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.

Camela Suesos Inalcanzables mp3

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Camela Suesos Inalcanzables imageNow signed to Camela’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Suesos Inalcanzables” leads Camela’s back-to-school campaign. Camela had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Camela comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I greatly enjoyed this CD.

This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Hablale De MG very upbeat. La Estacion Del Querer - To me, this is the best song on the Suesos Inalcanzables. In Marioneta De Su Vida (2 Parte) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Morir De Amor actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Camela’s face. No Puedo Enamorarme is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Que He Conseguido is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Suenos Inalcanzables - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Camela. Un Cielo Sin Estrellas make listening to Camela like being in some sort of time warp. I now have Vivir Por Vivir as one of my personal favorites. Only one song from Suesos Inalcanzables named Vuelve Junto A Mi really got me.

Folk - Various Artists Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2) imageOn Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2) album, Folk - Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2)’ really is amazing. IF YOU LIKE ALL Folk - Various Artists’S SONG GO FOR IT! Check it every song is worth the money for the Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2) CD!

Lonesome River (Here Today) one of the best in my collection. You have to get essence of the Hard Hearted (Jim & Jesse)’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I like the idea behind My Better Years (The Johnson Mountain Boys). Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. New Faces In The Field (Illrd Tyme Out) is astounding song though, very addictive. One listen to the sheer beauty of New York Chimes (Tony Trischka) was all I needed. Is The Blue Moon Still Shining? (Kathy Kallick/Laurie Lewis) - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Folk - Various Artists. Flop Eared Mule (David Grier/Mike Compton) is the funkiest number on the album. Every Time You Say Goodbye (Alison Krauss) is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2) have ended. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2) is Cold On The Shoulder (Tony Rice). Who’s That Knocking At My Door? (Dreadful Snakes) - This is a very lively song. Blew our minds when we first heard Mr. Engineer (J.D. Crowe). Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. It’s such an underrated song. Mama’s Hand (Hazel Dickens) is Folk - Various Artists’s best work in years. Sleepy Eyed John/Tom And Jerry (Laurie Lewis/Tom Rozum) I just LOVE this mix! Whitewater (Bela Fleck) is a good listen every once in a while. You’re That Certain Someone (Warrior River Boys) as a highlight of Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2) contains a ton of marvelous melodies. I Feel The Blues Moving In (Del McCoury) is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Hand-Picked: 25 Years Of Bluegrass On Rounder Records (cd2). When God Dips His Pen Of Love In My Heart (The Cox Family) one is one of the better boring ones. In River Of Jordan (Ricky Skaggs) the music gets its power. We Believe In Happy Endings (Dry Branch Fire Squad) is a very catchy tune.

The Kelly Family Gold mp3

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

The Kelly Family Gold imageGold really suprise for me from The Kelly Family. I think this is best Folk album. The Kelly Family is work hard for Gold. Gold - another great offering from The Kelly Family.

When I listen to Let My People Go in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Let It Be is simple, dignified and effective, The Kelly Family refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Who’ll Come With Me (3:08) - awsome. Mull Of Kentyre is worth the money. Charming song, great melody. Es Waren Zwei Konigskinder - A classic The Kelly Family track. Old McDonald one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Take My Hand is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Gold. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. First time I heard Hiroshima, I’m Sorry was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Looking For Love pretty much defines how I feel spiritually.

Garth Brooks Fresh Horses mp3

Garth Brooks Fresh Horses imageGarth Brooks’s debut, ‘Fresh Horses’, does not fit easily into one genre. After seeing The Old Stuff, I had to have a good Garth Brooks CD. Garth Brooks is work hard for Fresh Horses. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Fresh Horses.

If you are a Garth Brooks fan, you will love Cowboys and Angels. Voice and instruments in The Fever complement each other. This track is clearly meant to showcase Garth Brooks’s vocal abilities. Rollin’ is astounding. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: The Change, which shows, blatantly, how much Garth Brooks has evolved as a singer. The Beaches Of Cheyenne - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. To Make You Feel My Love actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Garth Brooks’s face. It’s Midnight Cinderella is pretty funky and mellow. She’s Every Woman is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Garth Brooks emotions are reflected through Ireland.

Martin Carthy Martin Carthy mp3

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

Martin Carthy Martin Carthy imageSince Martin Carthy last CD (Martin Carthy) on Badmintone Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. You need to listen Martin Carthy. It’s really cool. It has been eleven years Martin Carthy’ last studio CD, “Martin Carthy” which won Boston Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. High Germany and Trees They Do Grow High is really good.

Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Martin Carthy sings Sovay in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I love the melodic melody of Ye Mariners All and to this day it makes me feel good. Music and lyrics of Queen Of Hearts creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Broomfield Hill (2:55) - awsome. Springhill Mine Disaster is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Scarborough Fair - another great track from the Martin Carthy album. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Lovely Joan because the melody in the chorus is so good. Barley And The Rye is another favourite of mine. Wind That Shakes The Barley as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. What sets Two Magicians apart is Martin Carthy’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I can’t stop playing Handsome Cabin Boy. Some call And A Begging I Will Go from Martin Carthy as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.

George Dalaras Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo mp3

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

George Dalaras Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo imagetwelve years ago, George Dalaras briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo”. Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s natural for George Dalaras to take a stab at ‘Nyxterino - Kastro I8akhs’ considering her long-professed love for No Authority. To me George Dalaras is the best ever.

Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Ta Zaria Ta Baria is outstanding work of George Dalaras. Still going through Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo and coming to appreciate Ta Vegalika Sou Matia more and more with every listen. Although Ta tragoydia Einai is very melodic it is far from sad. So much energy, so exciting a sound. To poylman Gia Thn Tiryn8a is a cool song and it grows on you. Sthn Ellada Kanei Kryo couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Margarita. Gyftikoi Logariasmoi is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
