Dwight Yoakam Gone mp3

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Dwight Yoakam Gone imageI guess you need to listen Gone as soon as possible. On the Belgium charts, superstar Dwight Yoakam’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. ‘Gone’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. If I may, I suggest “Sorry You Asked?”. That one song is amazing!

Near You is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Don’t Be Sad is one of the best records ever. Gone (That’ll Be Me) is a very catchy tune. In Nothing full palet of sound is used by Dwight Yoakam to accentuate the presentation. Dwight Yoakam emotions are reflected through Never Hold You. Musically This Much I Know is superior to other tracks in Gone. Baby Why Not is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The song feels complete. As always, Dwight Yoakam’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.

Gian and Giovani Dose Dupla imageI think this is best Country album. Dose Dupla CD - one of the best in Country. ‘Dose Dupla’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Dose Dupla is the best album I have heard in a long time

Vocals of Gian and Giovani in Voce Em Minha Vida really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Lareira Do Amor has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. As always, Gian and Giovani’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. I came to like Meu Bem. This track is full of harmonies and gets Dose Dupla off to a relaxing start. The sound of Arco-Iris is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Amante Anonimo because the melody in the chorus is so good. Once you hear Corpo Que Eu Conheco, you will listen to it over and over. Deserto Do Amor has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. If you are a Gian and Giovani fan, you will love Heranca. Boneca Crianca is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Sua vez rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Gian and Giovani. Estou De Olho Em Voce to me is the best you can get from Gian and Giovani. Nos Bracos Da Desilusao as a highlight of Dose Dupla contains a ton of astounding melodies. I hope to keep hearing Gian and Giovani works for a long time to come. This song stands out greatly from the others. I like the idea behind O Amor Vai Cuidar De Nos. Cacador De Coracoes is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Roupa De Lua De Mel is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Sonho De Nos Dois is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. It’s a great pleasure to listen to As Mesmas Coisas from the beginning to the end.

Jr. Hank Williams The Pressure Is On mp3

Jr. Hank Williams The Pressure Is On imageNowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Jr. Hank Williams on ‘Country Boy Can Survive’. Lead single “Country Boy Can Survive” and “Coalition to Ban Coalitions” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing Country Boy Can Survive, I had to have a good Jr. Hank Williams CD. The Pressure Is On is one of Jr. Hank Williams best albums

Coalition to Ban Coalitions is one of the coolest songs Jr. Hank Williams has ever recorded. The song feels complete. Ramblin’ in My Shoes one of the best in my collection. Pressure Is On is probably the most interesting track on The Pressure Is On. All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down) is probably the highlight of the album. I Don’t Care (If Tomorrow Never Comes) on The Pressure Is On is solid and easy to listen to. So much energy, so exciting a sound. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Ballad of Hank Williams one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard.

Burl Ives Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer imageIt has been two years Burl Ives’ last studio CD, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” which won ARIA Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer really suprise for me from Burl Ives. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer CD - one of the best in Country. Smart music for smart people.

Jingle Jingle Jingle - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Once you hear We Are Santa’s Elves, you will listen to it over and over. Within the first few notes of There’s Always Tomorrow it’s perfectly clear that Burl Ives is living this song. It took me a little time but I ended up loving We’re A Couple Of Misfits. Silver and Gold/Most Wonderful Day of the Year is exquisite work of Burl Ives. Most Wonderful Day Of The Year without a doubt is the standout song of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Holly Jolly Christmas - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Burl Ives. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is the most memorable and perfect. Put There’s Always Tomorrow into car stereo for your highway driving Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Jingle Jingle Jingle is my favorite song on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We’re A Couple Of Misfits still maintains something of a specific flourish. Silver And Gold have really caught my ear and imagination. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Most Wonderful Day Of The Year one is one of the better boring ones. Burl Ives sings his heart out in Holly Jolly Christmas. I’ve found myself listening to I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day back to back and back many times.

Conway Twitty Some of My Best, Vol. 1 mp3

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

Conway Twitty Some of My Best, Vol. 1 imageI think this is best Country album. While no new Conway Twitty album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in South America. Lead single “It’s Only Make Believe” and “As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It is very deep stuff.

As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. You’ve Never Been This Far Before marked the continuation of Conway Twitty in style evolution. She Needs Someone to Hold Her (When She Cries) is another favourite of mine. I Can’t See Me Without You is the song that really did it for me. The sound of Hello Darlin’ is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This is probably my favorite song on the album. In I’ll Try the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. To See My Angel Cry is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Some of My Best, Vol. 1. (I Can’t Believe) She Gives It All to Me is the albums biggest surprise.

Joe Ely Letter to Laredo imageIt has been thirteen years Joe Ely’ last studio CD, “Letter to Laredo” which won ARIA Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Joe Ely on ‘All Just To Get To You’. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Joe Ely has. IT makes me wanna dance!

Gallo Del Cielo gets you up and jumping. Run Preciosa is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Saint Valentine is outstanding work of Joe Ely. Ranches And Rivers is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Get Letter to Laredo and turn on Letter To Laredo if you are going to sip your wine late at night. I like I Saw It In You because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. She Finally Spoke Spanish To Me is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. That Ain’t Enough is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Letter to Laredo. The Highwaymen The Road Goes on Forever mp3

The Highwaymen The Road Goes on Forever imageThis is the first studio album from The Highwaymen since bad diagnosis in 1995. The Road Goes on Forever really suprise for me from The Highwaymen. On the Japan charts, superstar The Highwaymen’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Live Forever

In Live Forever you won’t find any flashy solos. Album opener Everyone Gets Crazy is a bright, upbeat ditty. It Is What It Is (3:40) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! I Do Believe is probably one of The Highwaymen’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. An End To Understanding is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The first time I listened to True Love Travels A Gravel Road I was struck by its astounding sound. Death And Hell is the funkiest number on the album. Waiting For A Long Time is one of the best records ever. Musically Here Comes That Rainbow Again is superior to other tracks in The Road Goes on Forever. The Road Goes On Forever is a bit of a show-tune.

Emmylou Harris Wrecking Ball imageEmmylou Harris’s debut, ‘Wrecking Ball’, does not fit easily into one genre. I think this is best Country album. Self-described as Country with lots of words, Emmylou Harris comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Wrecking Ball constantly brilliant.

Goodbye is a marvelous sing-along. All My Tears is the first taste of the new album. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Goin’ Back To Harlan is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Wrecking Ball have ended. When I listen to Deeper Well in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Sweet Old World is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. May This Be Love presents the amazing mix of instruments on Wrecking Ball. Orphan Girl - A strong beat. Voice and instruments in Blackhawk complement each other. Merle Haggard Untamed Hawk CD5 imageThis is the first studio album from Merle Haggard since bad diagnosis in 1995. While no new Merle Haggard album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in North America. ‘Untamed Hawk CD5′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. IF you love Merle Haggard, ‘Untamed Hawk CD5′ Mp3’s is the best!

I Could Have Gone Right is just simply stunning. The Day The Rains Came is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I Think We’re Livin’ In The Good Old Days is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Somewhere On Skid Row is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Who Do I Know In Dallas rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Folsom Prison Blues is one of the best records ever. This is probably my favorite song on the album. You’re Not Home Yet defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. I like the agression and power of I Just Want To Look At You One More Time. I hope to keep hearing Merle Haggard works for a long time to come. Keep Me From Cryin’ Today is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. I Can’t Hold Myself In Line catches attention immediately, When I listen to I’m Free in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. It Meant Goodbye To Me When You Said Hello To Him hits the heart. Who’ll Buy The Wine gives taste of what makes Merle Haggard special as a musician. She Thinks I Still Care is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Merle Haggard Untamed Hawk CD1 mp3

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Merle Haggard Untamed Hawk CD1 imageThis compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Merle Haggard. Merle Haggard had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Liza Moon has compared writing for Merle Haggard’s new album to that on ‘Untamed Hawk CD1′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Untamed Hawk CD1 is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.

Although You Don’t Even Try is very melodic it is far from sad. Life In Prison (False Start) is probably one of Merle Haggard’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Life In Prison is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. You Don’t Have Far To Go good vocals. Merle Haggard sings Sam Hill in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. First time I heard Sam Hill was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. Please Mr. D.J. is a very catchy tune. Excellent vocals and musical performances. (My Friends Are Gonna Be) Strangers had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Slowly But Surely (& Bonnie Owens) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Just Between The Two Of Us (& Bonnie Owens) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Merle Haggard. You can find feelings on this piece of art. I Wanta Live Again is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. A House Without Love Is Not A Home is another favourite of mine. Walking The Floor Over You is the albums biggest surprise. When I listen to The Worst Is Yet To Come in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Piedras Negras (Go Home) is outstanding work of Merle Haggard. Singin’ My Heart Out sets the tone for the entire album. I came to like Skid Row. Falling For You (Without String Overdub) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. I love the melodic melody of I’d Trade All Of My Tomorrows (Without String Overdub) and to this day it makes me feel good. Some of the arrangements found on Untamed Hawk CD1 are surprisingly edgy. Within the first few notes of I’m Gonna Break Every Heart I Can it’s perfectly clear that Merle Haggard is living this song. Stranger In My Arms (& Bonnie Owens) make listening to Merle Haggard like being in some sort of time warp. If I Could Be Him presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Untamed Hawk CD1. Shade Tree (Fix-It-Man) have really caught my ear and imagination. This Town’s Not Big Enough is one of the best records ever.

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Dwight Yoakam Dwight Live imageThis disc has all of the essential Dwight Yoakam classics. Rikki Toldo has compared writing for Dwight Yoakam’s new album to that on ‘Dwight Live’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s natural for Dwight Yoakam to take a stab at ‘Little Sister’ considering her long-professed love for Westlife. Overall, I would highly recommend Dwight Live CD.

This track is a great song that still never gets old. The Heart That You Own is worth the money. After few listenings I started to like This Time more and more. Streets Of Bakersfield is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Little Ways is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. I love the melodic melody of Please, Please Baby and to this day it makes me feel good. Some call Nothing’s Changed Here from Dwight Live as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. In Lonesome Roads Dwight Yoakam is at his best. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Wild Ride - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. As always, Dwight Yoakam’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. First time I heard Fast As You was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Long White Cadillac - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Jr. Hank Williams Family Tradition imageFamily Tradition CD - one of the best in Country. When you buy a Jr. Hank Williams album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Once Old Flame, New Fire gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Always Loving You is nothing but pure genius. We Can Work It All Out is outstanding work of Jr. Hank Williams. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Family Tradition is I Fought the Law. I believe Family Tradition is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Only Daddy That’ll Walk the Line is one of the coolest songs Jr. Hank Williams has ever recorded. Paying on Time is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Jr. Hank Williams ever produced. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. David Grier had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is one of the best Cd’s David Grier has dropped to date. To me David Grier is the best ever.

Eye Of The Hurricane - another great track from the Lone Soldier album. In Tarnation you won’t find any flashy solos. The Meeting is a fine track on any terms. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of David Grier. David Grier is one of artists that allow his songs like ‘R Somethin’ to stand on their own and be heard. Engagement Waltz - a classic song. A unique and uplifting song. David Grier breathes new life into the music in That’s Just Perfect. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Lone Soldier, Reprise is one of my favorite songs by David Grier.

Hypnotize The Moon is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. It took me a little time but I ended up loving A Cowboy’s Toughest Ride. Bury The Shovel as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I find myself hearing bits of Where Were You here and there throughout my waking hours. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Lyrics of I Won’t Have The Heart are precise and evocative. Who Needs You Baby one of the best in my collection.

It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: If You Want to Be My Woman, which shows, blatantly, how much Merle Haggard has evolved as a singer. Someone Told My Heart - For me, this is the best of the album. Piedras Negras (Go Home) is a astounding song and it grows on you. Merle Haggard is one of artists that allow his songs like Whatever Happened to You to stand on their own and be heard. Loneliness Is Eating me Alive is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Merle Haggard offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This song may be the most meaningful. Gone Crazy is a great opener for Untamed Hawk CD3. I Threw Away the Rose is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. Some of Us Never Learn is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Untamed Hawk CD3. Branded Man is one of these floating songs. Merle Haggard emotions are reflected through You Don’t Have Very Far to Go. Music in Wine Take Me Away is cool as in all tracks of Untamed Hawk CD3. If You See My Baby is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Merle Haggard released so far. Somewhere Between is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Untamed Hawk CD3. I have all of Merle Haggard’s tracks and I Made the Prison Band is probably the most his introspective effort. Shania Twain was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Shania Twain and The Woman In Me together. The Woman In Me is not something you should pass up.

Any Man Of Mine is the albums biggest surprise. What sets Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? apart is Shania Twain’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. (If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here! is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. The Woman In Me (Needs The Man In You) is a great opener for The Woman In Me. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Is There Life After Love?, which shows, blatantly, how much Shania Twain has evolved as a singer. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Shania Twain is hitting on all cylinders in You Win My Love. Raining On Our Love gives good insight into the truths. This track is a great song that still never gets old. The sound of Mercury Blues is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I’d Love You All Over Again without a doubt is the standout song of Greatest Hits Vol I.

South Mouth CD - one of the best in Country. Since Robbie Fulks last CD (South Mouth) on Delicious Vinyl back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Oh yes, this album gets out of

I Told Her Lies is really the reason why I recommend buying South Mouth. Put Heart, I Wish You Were Here into car stereo for your highway driving I Push Right Over is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Busy Not Crying is one of my favorite songs by Robbie Fulks. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. What The Lord Hath Wrought (Any Fool Can Knock Down) is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Dirty-Mouthed Flo makes a person feel gorgeous. Simple and heartfelt closing track You Wouldn’t Do That To Me closes South Mouth on a high note. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. First time I heard South Richmond Girl was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.

Clay Walker If I Could Make a Living imageThom Yorke has compared writing for Clay Walker’s new album to that on ‘If I Could Make a Living’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There were many famous songs of Clay Walker available. When you buy a Clay Walker album, you know exactly what you’re getting! IT makes me wanna dance!

I like the idea behind Melrose Avenue Cinema. If I Could Make a Living couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track My Heart Will Never Know. What Do You Want For Nothin’ is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This Woman And This Man can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Clay Walker is all about. Boogie Till The Cows Come Home is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. I now have Heartache Highway as one of my personal favorites. If you are a Clay Walker fan, you will love You Make It Look So Easy. Lose Your Memory is the song that really did it for me. Such hits like Money Ain’t Everything will leave you hooked. Down By The River one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard.

You And Your Sweet Love is really the reason why I recommend buying Hello Darlin’. Some of the arrangements found on Hello Darlin’ are surprisingly edgy. I like the agression and power of Rueben James. This song is dynamic and dramatic. I love the melodic melody of Will You Visit Me On Sunday and to this day it makes me feel good. The song feels complete. I’m So Used To Loving You - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Hello Darlin’.

One listen to the sheer beauty of XXX’s And OOO’s (An American Girl) was all I needed. You Can Sleep While I Drive - Trisha Yearwood first major hit. Don’t judge The Restless Kind on the first listening. Music in On A Bus To St. Cloud is amazing as in all tracks of Thinkin’ About You. Merle Haggard Untamed Hawk CD4 imageLead single “Where Does The Good Times Go” and “Good Times” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is so much to love about Merle Haggard, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Now signed to Merle Haggard’s Ars Benevola Mater, the title track from second album “Untamed Hawk CD4″ leads Merle Haggard’s back-to-school campaign. Untamed Hawk CD4 touched my soul like nothing else.

The Sunny Side Of My Life is a song to enjoy for years to come. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Untamed Hawk CD4 is Run ‘Em Off. Putumayo The Laura Love Collection mp3

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

Putumayo The Laura Love Collection imageSelf-described as Country with lots of words, Putumayo comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s natural for Putumayo to take a stab at ‘All Our Lives’ considering her long-professed love for B4-4. An Loched has compared writing for Putumayo’s new album to that on ‘The Laura Love Collection’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. The Laura Love Collection is my first Putumayo Album and i must say i am blown away.

From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Bang Bang presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on The Laura Love Collection. Anyway (4:46) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Less Is More marked the continuation of Putumayo in style evolution. I believe In A Heartbeat is one of the most exquisite, heartfelt songs ever written. First time I heard Take A Ride was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.I’m A Givin’ Way is one of the best records ever. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with This Place I Love. A Ha Me A Riddle I Day is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy.
